In December and March, the migration is found in the southern Serengeti in Tanzania. An estimated 400,000 wildebeest calves are born during a six week period each year – usually between late January and mid-March.

The migration is usually present in the Masai Mara in Kenya between July and October. During this time, dramatic river crossings are the order of the day with crocodiles laying in wait for the wildebeest and zebra.

6 DAYS LAKE MANYARA/ NGORONGORO/ SERENGETI CAMPING SAFARI

Arrival

You’ll be collected from the airport (or hotel).
Accommodation before the tour departs can be arranged for extra cost.

Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara

Depart Arusha for lake Manyara arriving by lunchtime. Afternoon game drive. Meals and overnight at campsite.

Day 2: Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro

Morning game viewing drive, After breakfast depart to one of the natural wonders of the world, Ngorongoro crater Dinner and overnight at campsite.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast you will be taken 2000ft down the crater by a 4wheel drive vehicle for a full day crater tour, picnic lunch at crater, explore the crater before ascending back to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Ngorongoro – Serengeti

Depart after breakfast to Serengeti passing through Olduvai Gorge the site for Leakey’s family discoveries of fossils of human and animal ancestors dating back to almost two million years. Meals and overnight at campsite.

Day 5: Serengeti

A full day in Serengeti, morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at campsite.

Day 6: Serengeti – Arusha

After breakfast depart for Arusha arriving by lunch time.
