Samburu National Park is located on the arid frontier district of Kenya. The harsh and severe semi-arid desert habitat is home to open scrubland and thorn bush. Along the Ewaso Ngiro River, you’ll also find riverine forest and swamps. The game reserve’s wildlife is diverse and unique.Wildlife sightings may include the reticulated giraffe, elephant, Beisa oryx, gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra,Somali ostrich,lion,cheetah and many more.

Safari tour explores Samburu, Shaba and Buffalo springs game reserves in northern Kenya.

The scenic drive to Samburu is via five distinct climatic sub regions with views of local homesteads, coffee, tea, pineapple and subsistence farming activities.

You’ll see Mount Kenya (Kenya’s highest mountain and national symbol).

This tour is an opportunity to view unique wildlife species like Oryx, Gerenuk, Somali Ostrich, Grevy’s zebra, Reticulated giraffe and other wild animals peculiar to this semi arid region.

3 DAYS SAMBURU FLYING PACKAGE KENYA SAFARI TOUR

Arrival

• You’ll be collected from the airport (or hotel).
• Accommodation before the tour departs can be arranged at extra cost.

Day 1: Day 1: NAIROBI – SAMBURU

Morning pick from your Nairobi city hotel and transfer to Wilson Airport for the scheduled Samburu flight.

Weather permitting there shall be views of Africa’s second highest mountain,the Mount Kenya en- route. On arrival at the park’s airstrip , you shall be met by your safari driver guide from the lodge / camp.

Short game viewing drive shall follow as you proceed to your accommodation.

Afternoon game viewing drive returning to your safari lodge / tented camp before sunset.

Overnight at your Samburu lodge / tented camp.

Day 2: SAMBURU FULL DAY

 

Morning and afternoon game viewing drives at the Samburu game reserve.

Samburu is home to many unique animal species including reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx ,long-necked gerenuk and many more.

Expect to see cats including Lion,cheetah and others.

Overnight at a Samburu lodge / camp

Day 3: SAMBURU – NAIROBI

Breakfast at the lodge / camp.

Later transfer to the local airstrip with game viewing drive en-route.
